We're almost there!!! I'll be 38 weeks on Sunday. That is the one shirt that currently fits me.
Is it possible there are only a little over 2 weeks until this baby is due? Yes it is! And it can't come fast enough. In order to not go completely insane waiting for signs of labor (of which I have exhibited exactly none), I am trying to stay busy. My OB says the baby will come early, if he had to make his best guess, but I'm not holding my breath. My next appointment is tomorrow, so we'll see if we've made any progress.
Here's what I am doing to stay busy:
- Called some friends
- At home manicure/pedicure (see, I can still reach my toes! Don't look too closely, though.... )
- Finished setting up nursery
- Finished packing hospital bags as much as possible. It looks like we're ready to move in for weeks, doesn't it?
- Finished taking baby classes with husband
- Played around with Mary Kay online makeover
- Cleaned out my closet and sold some stuff on Ebay
- Simplified make up and morning routine
- Cleaned out all the file boxes in our house
- Picked out birth announcements and made some of my own
I plan to do the following still, if time allows:
- Cook several meals or chop up ingredients and store in freezer
- Collect addresses for baby announcements
- Shop for all birthday presents for September and October
- Get small gift (baked goods?) for OB & nursing staff
Any recommendations from those of you that have been there on what to do while you're waiting? I can only watch Harry Potter so many times. Have a great day!

Get as much rest as possible. You are going to want it after baby Ross gets here.
I always gave my nurses some nice chocolate or cookies at my last appointment.
Enjoy being pregnant. As hard as it is to imagine it right now, it is kind of a let down when the baby gets here and these 9 months of build up are suddenly over.
If you are like me, you'll miss the fun that pregnancy was.
Can't wait to see the baby.
I think the nurses would like beer. That's my novice opinion.
With our oldest, we ordered pizza for the nursing staff at the hospital that helped delivery her. It was a great lunch for them. Not sure how big your hospital is, but it was fun to do!
You look gorgeous! Praying for a quick and smooth delivery!
So I read this way back when you wrote it, but I read it on my phone and it's hard to respond on there. But I just have to say, love the HP comment ;) lol! Hope you're doing well!!
